Barbara Bach

Barbara Bach was a teenage drop out, pursued what she wanted, pushed and challenged herself, in the process she really got to know who she really is and what she's really capable of. Ultimately getting the juice out of life that would make all that squeezing we've all been doing, atleast, worth it.

Born Barbara Goldbach to Marjorie and Howard Goldbach on August 27, 1947 in the suburbs of Queens, New York. The eldest of five siblings from a family of mixed European heritages, her mother being an Irish Catholic, a Jewish policeman father from Austria and a Romanian grandmother if that wasn't enough. Although from a family of obviously varied heritages, principles, traditions, not to mention - diferent religious beliefs, she went and attended an All-girls Catholic Convent school in Long Island, that could have undoubtedly have been as strict, traditional and as conservative as those could get. Said school is rumored to have been Sarah Lawrence.

Her rise to success began sometime in 1963 at the tender age of sixteen. She dropped her books, her studies and her Catholic school girl uniform to pursue a career in modeling. Shortening her lastname to "Bach" from Goldblach, marked the start of her journey to what would eventually become a very succesfull and fruitfull career as a model with the Eileen Ford Agency. In less than a year of leaving behind all that she knew for what she wanted, her name, face and Ms. Bach's all together, literally, still "young", "just-starting-out" career quickly gained immence momentum that captured the attention of both the general public and the industry she now a part of, fuelling only a train, a few hundreds of hours earlier, was just only running on steam. Soon enough, Barbara Bach was considered and ranked amongst the top, leading American models of her time.
